Ash

Ash is originally from Northern Europe; however, it can now be found across most other European countries since the timber has been utilised for its useful benefits.

Because of its strength and elasticity, ash has been used for many centuries to make materials such as axe/shovel handles and wagons. In fact, one of the first airplanes was built using ash.

Ash is characterised by a beautiful golden light color, with long dark striking grain-lines within its structure. The wood can develop a browning, which are a darker grey-brown core.

The wood is particularly suitable for furniture, floors, and countertops because it is naturally very dense and durable.
