Beech is characterised by a pale yellow almost beige colour that matures to a more golden shade over time.
Beech can age up to 350 years, but typically matures when the tree is about 90-120 years old. Where it can be felled.
The tree usually grows between 25-30 meters high but can grow up to 40 meters high and up to 2 meters in diameter.
Beech is widespread over large parts of Europe with central and northern Europe as the centre. The tree is characterised by a smooth and light grey bark.
